    It is with great pleasure that I announce Dani Heroux has joined us as the Region 6 Representative.  APO would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Jennifer Sarkis, past Region 6 Rep. Jennifer opened up a new line of communication with the members in this region and has done a fantastic job.   We wish Jennifer all the success as assumes the role of Publication Relations Chair on the Executive.  (- Barb Caicco, Membership Chair)

  • February 19, 2010: 

    The time to renew your membership with Activity Professionals of Ontario is upon us, and you should expect to receive your renewal information in the mail by the end of February.  If you do not receive this renewal package or have questions, please contact the APO Head Office.

    For more information on membership and its benefits, visit the APO Membership page.  You can also download a current membership form from this page to complete and send to the APO Head Office should you need to update any of your contact or workplace information.

    Current memberships will expire on March 31, 2010.  Active members renewing by this date receive a discounted renewal rate and will maintain uninterrupted access to all membership benefits, including the newsletter and the members area of the APO website.

    Please remember, APO membership is professional in nature and belongs to the individual regardless of whether a facilty or the member pays the membership fee.  Memberships cannot be transferred to other individuals.  For further details on this, please review the APO bylaws here.

    As well as continuing to enhance your website, APO now offers both a toll-free telephone line (888-594-0140) and a toll-free fax service (888-494-7038) for your convenience. 

    Further, we are now able to process credit card payments.  Initially, this service has launched manually through the APO Head Office (by telephone), with an online service to be added to our website in the near future.

    The minutes from the last APO Annual General Meeting, held Oct. 22, 2009, in Collingwood and the Activity Professionals Awareness Week package have been added to the resources section of the members-only area. (member log-in required for access)

    To help you with planning for Activity Professionals Awareness Week (March 7-13), members will receive a promotional package in the mail.  Additional information and resources are available here.

  • January 17, 2010: 

    This is the first call for papers for the 2010 Activity Professionals of Ontario Convention to be held at the Sheraton Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, Toronto, Ontario from October 20th-22nd, 2010.  Speakers wishing to submit a proposal should do so by April 23rd, 2010.
