CALL FOR PAPERS IS EARLY THIS YEAR: This is the first call for papers for the 2012 Activity Professionals of Ontario Convention to be held at the Hilton Hotel & Convention Centre, downtown London, Ontario, October 17-19, 2012. Speakers wishing to submit a proposal should do so by March 1st, 2012, by e-mail, to education@activitypro.ca
Proposals can also be mailed to the APO Head Office address. More information can be found on our website convention section. The theme for this year’s convention is “Transformers”.
Each submission should include the following:
• Speaker Name
• Company Representing
• Contact address, phone and e-mail
• Type of Session (Keynote, Endnote, Breakout Educational Session)
• Desired length of presentation (90 min or 120 min)
• Title of presentation
• Main learning objectivesPlease note we have bumped up the date this year for deadline for submissions as we would like to have finalized our speakers and education session to promote our convention at the OLTCA, OANHSS, and TRO convention this year.
Thank you for all of you who filled out your education evaluation forms at convention. It gives us the opportunity to understand what types of education we can seek out for the next convention, what’s working and what’s not.

APO is seeking an ambitious, independent, and well-organized individual who is interested in volunteering for the Executive of Activity Professionals of Ontario in the Public Relations Chair capacity.
This position will enhance your marketability and build knowledge and skills in public speaking, budgeting, awards and bursaries, developing the APO Awareness Week package and public relations. We are seeking an APO member who is able to devote time and effort to this two-year position.
