Terry Codling responds: Some events will continue to resonate in our minds through the remainder of our life; such was the recent APO convention banquet that I attended. First, due to the great honour you bestowed upon me as your Mentor of the Year. Second, perhaps more significant, was the amazing passion, joy and enthusiasm you displayed throughout the evening. I see that daily in our activities staff and assumed it was mainly part of the job. Wrong! You made it clear, that evening, that these wonderful traits are really the fundamental fabric of an activity professional’s nature. Your role in LTC is totally positive; be proud of what you do! Share your spirit with those who follow. Thank you for allowing me to share your evening.
